Professional profile

20+ years as a technology & people leader — leading large, globally distributed teams and spearheading strategic initiatives across enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, and — most recently — AI platform engineering and governance.

I currently lead engineering and delivery for a large enterprise in the insurance sector, running the enterprise platform team end to end — defining and executing the long-term technology strategy and digital transformation roadmap, overseeing core platform modernization and API-driven integration architecture, and driving technology governance for cost efficiency, high availability, and business continuity across the wider organization.

AI is a major part of that mandate: I own the organization’s AI agenda end to end — the enterprise tooling standard, platform selection for API and RAG workloads, and the governance model that makes AI safely usable inside a regulated business. I’m the architect and sponsor of an in-house engineering AI harness: a governed control plane bringing model access, guardrails, tool permissions, and auditability under a single policy layer, embedded directly into the developer IDE and CI/CD pipelines. My thesis is that in regulated industries, the durable advantage sits in the harness around the model, not in the model itself.

Before that, I spent over six years at FAANG Company as a Senior Principal Architect, leading and managing a globally distributed team of architects and engineers and fostering a high-performance culture across diverse geographies and time zones. I spearheaded delivery of numerous strategic cloud transformation projects spanning multiple industries and geographies, helping enterprises adopt AI with API-first strategies, modern data architectures, and cloud-native solutions. I provided technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams — engineers, product managers, and sales — acted as a trusted advisor to key enterprise customers, and invested heavily in mentoring, career development, and performance guidance for the team, while helping shape FAANG Company’s products through close work with product and engineering teams.

Earlier in my career, I worked across the insurance sector as a Principal Architect and Solution Architect, and spent time in technology consulting as a technical specialist bridging enterprise software products with insurance industry customers. Throughout, I mentored and coached architects and engineers, coordinated with segment leaders to drive architectural goals, and led a multi-million-dollar project through to production for a major sales channel. That range runs from hands-on full-stack application engineering to enterprise integration (ESB/API platforms) to leading large-scale platform modernizations — giving me a foundation that spans the full stack, from code to cloud to organization-wide technology strategy and team leadership.
